Walk through Savannah as you learn about historic residents whose accomplishments have been underrepresented or identities minimized. Hear stories of Black, Native, queer, and female history-makers and their impact on Savannah, often in their own words.
Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the start; guides wait up to 5 minutes for late guests. Wear comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate attire, and bring water; an umbrella or raincoat is recommended if rain is expected. Public restrooms are only available near the beginning and end of the route.

The tour starts at Franklin Square and ends at Monterey Square.

There are parking lots and garages near Franklin Square, but it can be busy (especially on weekends). Street parking is available around Monterey Square and along the route; spots within a block or two are often available, and some are free/unmetered. Budget time to park and walk to the start.
