Bait, fishing rods
Book a private 3-hour cruise on the 50-foot Miss Ocean City for a fishing trip or a party on the bay. Customize the outing for your group and bring your own food and beverages, with alcohol permitted.
Check in at the boat with the crew 30 minutes before sailing time. Rod and reel rentals are available at the boat. Trips sell rain or shine unless the captain cancels and the boat does not leave the dock.
You may cancel or change your private charter up to 7 days prior to departure for a full refund. Cancellation within 7 days will be charged the full price. If the captain cancels and the boat does not leave the dock due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund.
Free parking is available on the grass on the left side of Sunset Avenue (Worcester County parking outside the hedges from Sunset Marina) and in the municipal lot on the right about 150 feet from the dock behind the Shark Restaurant. The dock area is for loading and unloading only.
During large events (such as the week of August 6–12), normal parking may fill up. If you can’t find a spot, pull into the loading/unloading area at the Shark Restaurant and you will be shuttled to additional parking.
Dress for the day’s weather and consider bringing a jacket or sweatshirt since it’s often cooler on the water. If rain is possible, bring a rain jacket or foul-weather gear.

Captain Anton and his crew consistently earn praise for creating a relaxed, family-friendly fishing atmosphere that keeps visitors coming back year after year. The mates, particularly Joel, Beau, and Damian, get standout mentions for being attentive and hardworking throughout trips, constantly helping with bait, untangling lines, and making sure everyone feels taken care of. Beyond the fishing itself, guests appreciate the bonus sightseeing around West Ocean City, including glimpses of Assateague's wild horses and occasional dolphin sightings. The three-hour trips hit a sweet spot for families with young children who want an introduction to fishing without the marathon commitment of longer charters. While catch success varies from trip to trip (as is typical with any fishing excursion), most visitors feel the reasonable pricing and friendly service make it worthwhile regardless. Lines can get tangled when the boat is particularly full, and one guest felt the captain moved between spots too frequently, but these seem like isolated concerns rather than recurring issues. The laid-back vibe and responsive crew make this a reliable choice for annual vacation traditions.
I went on a fishing tour with this company a couple years ago at this point but just found the pictures from it. It was such a good time that I wanted to make sure I looped back around to provide them!! My stepdad and I had a blast fishing with this charter, and I had a great time hanging out with the captain and deckhand who were very kind to me and allowed me to shelter with them from a storm that came over the water at the end of the scheduled tour. Thanks so much, and sorry for the delay! Super enjoyable experience.
