Captain Amber and Captain Thomas have earned unanimous praise for creating memorable sailing experiences on Port Townsend Bay. Families especially appreciate how welcoming both captains are with children, letting even young kids take turns at the helm while keeping everyone feeling safe and engaged. First-time sailors consistently mention how the captains strike the perfect balance between teaching sailing basics and simply letting guests relax and enjoy the stunning mountain and water views. You'll likely spot local wildlife, and past guests have been thrilled by occasional orca sightings. Beyond casual sails, Captain Amber also teaches ASA certification courses that reviewers describe as comprehensive and professionally run. Whether you're booking a two-hour afternoon sail or a multi-day course, expect captains who are genuinely knowledgeable about both sailing and the local area's history. The boats are well-maintained, stocked with snacks and water, and designed for comfort. Communication before trips is straightforward, parking is easy, and the overall experience consistently leaves people wanting to return.
Thomas was our captain. My family had a wonderful time. My husband and adult daughter assisted and steered at times. We asked so many questions about the area and sailing and Thomas’ personal experiences of years on the water. He is so knowledgeable, personable, and interesting! Communication before the sail was good. It was easy to find and parking was no problem. I can’t say enough good things about our sail today. Highly recommend!
