Sailing through New York Harbor on this tall ship delivers exactly the kind of memorable experience travelers hope for. The crew consistently earns praise for being friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging, with Captain Steve and the team making guests feel welcome while skillfully handling the sails. What sets this apart from typical harbor tours is the authentic sailing experience where passengers can actually help with the rigging if they want, plus incredible views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, and Manhattan skyline that somehow look even better on the return journey at dusk. The sunset and evening cruises seem particularly magical, with several reviewers mentioning live jazz music, blankets for chilly weather, and a relaxed atmosphere that perfectly caps off a New York visit. People love being able to walk around the deck freely and photograph landmarks without the usual crowds. One guest who missed their sailing due to confusion about dates wished they'd received email reminders like other tour companies send, and another mentioned a smoking incident that was initially mishandled but ultimately resolved personally by the owner, which shows they do care about guest satisfaction even when things go wrong.
The best NYC experience I have ever had. NY has no shortage of tourist attractions or things to do. After 11 years of boat, bike, bus rides - this is the hands down number one experience I would recommend. The wind, sea, sail takes you away from the daily grind. Would do it once a week over a massage session. The staff also made it a great experience. Yacht rock playing all the classics. Can’t wait for the next trip out. I
