What should I wear for a hike in Alaska?
Dress in warm, moisture-wicking layers, bring a rain jacket, and wear sturdy hiking shoes; weather can change quickly.
Do I need to bring bear spray?
No. Your guide carries bear spray and is trained in safety protocols.
Will there be wildlife on the trail?
Possibly; Alaska is home to moose, bears, and birds. Your guide keeps you safe and shares insights from a respectful distance.
What fitness level is required?
Hikes are available for all skill levels; let us know any concerns to match you with a suitable trail.
What if it rains?
We hike rain or shine, so pack a rain jacket and embrace the adventure.
A valid Denali Park day pass is required. Participants must be able to walk 2–4 miles on uneven ground. Minimum age is 5.
Free cancellation up to 2 days before the start. No refunds within 1 day of departure, after participation, or for late arrivals or wrong location. Trips run rain or shine. If the operator cancels and cannot reschedule, you receive a full refund minus any booking fee.

The operation itself runs smoothly, with quality dry suits that actually keep you dry, well-maintained equipment, and seamless logistics from hotel pickup to drop-off. They offer different river sections based on water levels and experience, with the Canyon Run being popular for those wanting more action and the Wilderness Wave perfect for families with younger kids or those preferring a calmer float. One group noted their trip was more of a float than expected, but most reviewers found their experience matched what they'd hoped for. The scenery along the Nenana River consistently impresses, and the guides share interesting details about the landscape, wildlife, and glaciers throughout the journey.
We took New Wave Adventures for rafting trip through the canyon. Absolutely a wonderful whitewater rafting trip. From booking the trip all the way to the finish of the trip they were a top-notch adventure company. We enjoyed the instructors as well as our River guide Tommy salami. We enjoyed every minute of the trip. The information the views the river all just fantastic and to be able to end the rafting trip by being able to jump into a glacial fed River was a once in a lifetime opportunity.. if you are in Denali and are looking for a first-rate rafting trip class three four Rapids take the canyon trip with New Wave Adventures it'll be a memory you want soon forget.

We took New Wave Adventures for rafting trip through the canyon. Absolutely a wonderful whitewater rafting trip. From booking the trip all the way to the finish of the trip they were a top-notch adventure company. We enjoyed the instructors as well as our River guide Tommy salami. We enjoyed every minute of the trip. The information the views the river all just fantastic and to be able to end the rafting trip by being able to jump into a glacial fed River was a once in a lifetime opportunity.. if you are in Denali and are looking for a first-rate rafting trip class three four Rapids take the canyon trip with New Wave Adventures it'll be a memory you want soon forget.
