ROAM Outdoor Adventure Co. is a homegrown team of Southern Utah guides who traded desks for desert sand to share the landscapes they grew up exploring. From coral-pink dunes to hidden slot canyons near Zion and Bryce, their small-...
With an exceptional track record across multiple locations near Zion and Escalante, this outfitter delivers consistently outstanding adventures. The guides earn glowing praise individually: Clayton impresses with his photography skills and warm personality, Neil navigates challenging slot canyons with remarkable expertise (even helping lost hikers), and Wyatt goes above and beyond (including orchestrating a surprise proposal at Coral Pink Sand Dunes). Other standouts like DeAnna, Koleman, Jack, and Andi each bring their own blend of local knowledge and genuine enthusiasm. The variety of experiences is impressive, from UTV tours through private slot canyons to horseback riding, sand boarding, and technical canyon hikes. Equipment stays in top condition, and the pacing strikes that sweet spot where you're not rushed but never bored. Travelers especially appreciate how guides adjust difficulty levels to match group abilities while sharing fascinating insights about geology, history, and hidden photo opportunities. The consensus is clear: whether it's your first adventure or you're coming back for more, these tours deliver memories worth every penny.
TC and the ROAM ATV team delivered one of the most memorable days of our entire Utah trip. We were visiting from the Pacific Northwest — hiking Zion one day, Bryce Canyon the next — and this half-day ATV tour in Kanab was the perfect adventure in between. Our family of four was grouped with just one other family, which made the whole experience feel personal from the start. TC is the kind of guide who genuinely loves what he does — it comes through in everything. He shared the history of each stop, orchestrated the route so we somehow had every attraction almost entirely to ourselves (meanwhile other groups were finishing up just as we arrived — no accident there), and even did a little on-site science demo explaining how the rock formations were made. My kids were riveted. The peekaboo slot canyon left us speechless. It felt like something you’d only find inside a major national park, and yet — no crowds. The hidden lake cave was my older one’s favorite stop. My youngest (9) completely lost his mind at the sand hill sledding. That kid talked about it the rest of the trip. Here’s what we didn’t expect: TC planned a signature photo opportunity at each stop and took genuinely epic iPhone shots of our family. We’re printing them for Christmas cards. That alone would have made the tour worth it. One honest tip: bring goggles or sunglasses for everyone in your group, including the kids. The sand gets in your eyes during the driving portions and there aren’t loaners available — my littles were pretty uncomfortable until we figured out a workaround. Small thing, big difference. 10/10. Do this tour.
