Since 1948 the Hurricane Fishing Fleet has been guiding guests to the richest waters off Myrtle Beach. Their multi-generational captains grew up on these decks, sharing local know-how that gets lines in the water quickly thanks to...
Hurricane Fleet delivers consistently solid fishing and dolphin watching experiences, with captains like Josh, Mark, and John earning particular praise from repeat customers. The crew handles everything from baiting hooks to cleaning your catch, making it genuinely beginner-friendly while still satisfying experienced anglers. One reviewer has returned every January for seven years, which speaks volumes about the quality and reliability you can expect. The dolphin cruises seem to be a hit across the board, with families spotting multiple pods and enjoying the friendly, low-key atmosphere. On the fishing side, captains actively move the boat when action slows and work quickly to untangle lines, keeping everyone engaged. The boats themselves are described as clean, fast, and comfortable. There are a couple frustrated voices about not catching fish, but the overwhelming majority walk away with good catches and memorable days on the water. The crew's knowledge of local waters and genuine enthusiasm for what they do really shines through in most accounts.
We picked up this fishing trip while Staying near Myrtle Beach on 04/02/26. The captain and crew were awesome and gave us a great half day on the ocean for fishing. No keepers on this trip for my boys, but there were plenty of bites and the captain knew the good spots for black Sea bass. I would definitely recommend this charter company when in the area. Great for families as well.
